(spyder maintainer here) you can open two consoles in the same spyder instance by going to the menu consoles > new console each console is independent and has its own. To use spyder with multiple virtual environments you need a spyder.ini file for each virtual environment. This answer did not work for me. I also found that on windows (10), just launching spyder from an anaconda environment still launched spyder with my default python, and i had to conda install spyder in. Then i have created a new environment from this file:
In the example above, as spyder was not installed, i had to install it. Tools > preferences > application in spyder 5, or tools > preferences > general in spyder 4, click the advanced. I can see it under conda env. (spyder maintainer here) this is easy.
Then, once installed, let's open anaconda's prompt for that specific environment:
