Those ethnicity estimates, are just that, an estimate, and a very rough one at that, and are compared to a small database of others who have an alleged ancestry paper trail from specific regions. So what makes someone a gypsy (or traveller)?as far as i am aware, no one has ever been allocated a percentage of “gypsy” ethnicity. I know of several traveller families who encamped there over the years they were arnolds, beaneys, eastwoods, kemps,brazils, smiths and others. Basically he is saying through the autosomal test (which gives you a broad continent %age of you dna) you may or may not see a small south asian %age and this test really is inconclusive.
