A few weeks after an elderly relative had her wells fargo card compromised (we got charges reversed), she got a call from wells fargo fraud department, checking to be sure she had. Anyone have any experience with opening a new checking account with wells fargo that opted for the $300 bonus that can give an idea as to time frame… Fyi, we got a letter in january and i called my local wells fargo branch to check it out.
Be sure to read sub rules before posting, use the resources linked in the sidebar / about section of the sub, and use search to see if your. They were able to confirm that the phone number on the letter was a real wf number. Apparently, the agents from the number on the letter can't pass the wells fargo employee authentication procedure because it is not wells fargo who is running this:
A subreddit for discussing credit cards. I hope it’s over the phone because it’s right… It’s a good starting point for a career in banking. It’s a tough job, but wells fargo provides good training.
Just called wf and asked to get my credit limit increased from $1300 to $5000 on my active cash card (it automatically got product changed from whatever the yellow one was). So i got a 15 minute phone interview with wells fargo any tips? The caller id says wells fargo but when i contacted wf they never sent me notifications of fraud and mentioned that some scammers steal phone numbers of companies to appear legit. Also is it over the phone or zoom??
