Websites take far longer than usual to load up (about 10 seconds just to load up facebook), however when i run a speedtest on speedtest.net, it says my ping is 10, download 850mbps, and upload 50 mbps. It was barely usable but we were locked into a contract. Make sure you are choosing your closest server on speedtest, otherwise it affects the speed and ping.
My pc is very solid too, 3080ti gpu, 11700k cpu, 64gb ram, etc. /r/speedtest is a community for the purpose of discovering how to make internet connections faster. Basically what the title says, i'm wondering how bad/important or even how accurate ooklas speed test is for the download and upload latency;
Looking to implement a localized speed test tool. Users in remote offices can run an internal speedtest from there pc to our server in the datacenter (that will host the speedtest). I generally use iperf to do local testing to make sure things are working correctly on my end and then use the speedtest.net cli to test out to the internet. Speedtest showed the full speed we were paying for, but i could never get anywhere near that speed when downloading from anywhere else.
Hello guys, i would like to know about what is your recommended/favourite app or site for testing internet speed. It has to be a web application. I'm on wired and get about 400mb down and. Basically like how speedtest.net works, except i want to point it towards my own server so i can test my speed towards the server from elsewhere?
With me, i have received better results from speedtest.net as opposed to fast.com speedtest. I usually manually set the test server to be one hosted by my isp since it’s testing the shortest path and there’s not much you can do about how your isps interconnects to other networks tbh. Using the one closest is.
