I've tried the following launch options. After many hours of researching and desperately trying literally everything to get the 'directx runtime' to go away, including doing a clean install of windows (twice!), i finally. It's fully updated and i even followed a couple youtube tutorials. They don't work for me.
It appears that a vanilla windows 11 already has support for directx 9. Run dxdiag.exe move to the display. Could not load file or assembly 'microsoft.directx.direct3d. Do they work for you?
The directx install appears to be pointless so why even risk it?
They wanted to play but could not for the life of them install it since thier gpu runs.
