Usually it’s a nickname for katherine/kaitlin/kathleen (i’m a [name_f]katherine [/name_f] myself!) i wouldn’t consider it dated by any means, but i’m. Does it make sense to use the nickname kit for catherine or does it only make sense to spell it katherine? Kit is my favorite nickname for catherine but catherine is definitely my favorite spelling.

(also, putting in a vote for [name_f]stephanie [/name_f], since that’s my name ) I used to prefer [name_f]katie [/name_f], but i’ve been crushing on [name_f]katy [/name_f] lately. Have our boys name but definitely no girls names set yet.
As a [name_f]katie [/name_f], i feel i absolutely need to weigh in on this! I like double first names for girls, well some, that is. I’m transgender and plan to change my name in the future. It can be hit or miss in this category.
