Craigslist did charge a $5 fee to list, but that didn't deter any of the fake car ads. It seems to me that craigslist is purposely being attacked (perhaps with the intent of causing people to lose trust/confidence in the site). Perhaps there is a competitor site that wants to do away with free platforms like craigslist so they can charge you a fee?
Craigslist has been a reliable source for finding garage sales. Basically want to just post to one platform, and automate a duplicate ad on the other. Don't spam your non los angeles topics here.

Hopefully it'll eliminate that issue. Idk what you call shady but i've seen shady shit in craigslist while facebook is heavily auto moderated (probably too much cuz it always sets false positives and ban people for dumb reasons).
