We will meet at woodland road and cascades parkway in sterling at 8:45 a.m. We are arguing that the zoo is public property, no different than a sidewalk in the city. Interesting, the zoo states that saint louis zoo’s mission includes animal conservation, research, education, recreation and amusement. here is saint louis zoo’s mission statement:
There is no limit of people, but a somewhat accurate count is needed for equipment, so have them rsvp with the number in. Because of this, concealed and open carry cannot be banned per state law. And will get started as soon as we get organized after that.
Louis city assessor maps do not show the parcel boundaries of the zoo property itself, just showing forest park as one big area. However, the zoo is claiming that they are either private property, an amusement park. if it's necessary to have a ccw permit/license in order to do so, please say state that this is the case. I cc'd, but wondered if they allow oc or if any of you have oc'd there.
Hogan must respond to those assertions, which include claims that the zoo is an educational facility, a childcare facility, an amusement park, and a business open to the public. In addition we are also on new forum software. :) please help by posting all issues here. The purpose of this thread is manifold:
It will be worth it! It is absolutely impossible for citizens, without specialized knowledge and researching of land records, to determine the boundaries of the property to which the order applies. Let me see if i am understanding correctly. Any move entails a lot of technical details and i suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live.
As observed earlier, woodland park zoo is owned by the city of seattle (see woodland park zoo management paragraph) and is, therefore, probably subject to preemption by rcw 9.41.270.
